It's a infection for your intestines.

Bacteria called Vibrio Cholerae.

What happens when you get it?

A lot of diarrhoea ang vomiting, diarrhoea happen when you poop a lot and vomiting comes out of your mouth and makes a big mess.

How is Cholera spread? 

Cholera germs are found in feces they are infecting people. 

Cholera is also spread when people with cholera get into the water.

When a infected person get into the water. Also people drinks and eats what was in the water.

Cholera is not likely to speard to one person and another.

You can get cholera in parts of Africa and Asia.

Although Mountain Gorillas are incredible creatures, people are still hunting the adults to kidnap the babies. The baby gorilla is as fluffy as a bushy hedgehog. As the baby gorilla looked through the forest it could smell danger. Mountain Gorillas are incredibly strong.  Baby Mountain Gorillas are: cute, fluffy, incredible, small and wonderful. Mountain Gorillas are incredibly strong and wonderful creatures!

"Hey what was that?"said Victor. Samson turned around and went back

''Dad...Dad are you here?" said Victor.
''Help''said the professor. They went towards the sound until...they both opened an old wooden door. Duchess took a step back,Victor stood out of the way. Duchess ran then jumped towards the professor.The professor was free.

They all ran back to Samson and flew away with the professor. Killamari didn't
notice them.

My Rock Story

Rocks have been around the world for lots of years. Some rocks come from volcanoes. obsidian is an igneous rock. Igneous rocks are made of hot liquid rocks that has cooled and hardened. Liquid rock comes up onto the earth's surface through volcanoes. 

Some rocks such as granite are very hard strong. Others such as chalk are very soft and easily crumble. We can write with chalk because it wears away when pressed against a hard surface. 

Some rocks have tiny holes that water can flow through, other rocks such as slate do not let in any water. People make roof tiles out of slate because it keeps the house underneath dry. 

Each kind of mineral forms its own type of crystal and when lots of crystals lock together they make rocks. Granite is a hard speckled looking rock, each speckle is a different crystal.

Rocks

Rocks are very cool. They are very hard just like a gem. And a crystals. Rocks have been around for billions of years. 

How are rocks made ? Rocks are made from sand. Sand is little pices of rock sand when volcanos erupt lava comes down. Little pices of rockfall out the volcano. 

Rocks are very strong. 

Igneous rocks are crystals. They fall into a volcano when the volcano erupts they turn into magma and then lava igneous rocks are very cool. 

Metamorphic rock is made from  sedementyry rock. Igneous rock is made from hot liquid. Sedementyry rock is made from little pices of rock and sometimes shell

All of these are important one they are very rear two they are very strong so they won't break and three they are very cool.

Coal is hard and black,It's also some kind of mineral.It's the most common mineral,It's used all over the world for energy.Coal is mostly used to make material and steel.

A mineral is a natural solid material but it's definitely not alive. Minerals always have the same ingredients every time,like chocolate chip cookies.

When rocks melt they normally turn into magma.Rock have been around for billions years.There are over 4.dto5 billion rocks in the  world.Mountains are made of rocks and rocks are formed by layers small particles.They are together and formed into sedimentary rocks.Sedimentary rocks are the most common rocks in the world.Mountains are made because rocks crusts push up and form mountains.

I'm going to share Igneous rocks with you.Igneous rocks formed by magma and volcanoes.Most

 igneous rocks have been around for 4.5 billion years and others have been around forever.

This is my fossil that is a dinosaur tooth.My great grandad found it on an island on the beach.Now I'm going to share fools gold with you now.

Fools gold is a type of fake gold the real name is iron pyrite.When people find this particular type of rock they would say I found gold!!! Then they would take it to a gold shop and the guy would say this is fake gold.Then he would say this is iron pyrite.He would say oh? I didn't know that. 

Some people carve rocks into statues.pumus is a type of rock it is formed by volcanoes.They can clean your feet some how.

Types of rock sedimentary rocks are: breccia,sandstone,shale,and limestone.

Types of metamorphic rock are diamond,graphite,marble,gneiss,quartzite and schist.

If a Minecraft person was in Auckland

I am from Minecraft and I made a portal to Auckland.It looks a little different here.Nothing looks like blocks and my bow does not work and my swords are gone so is my crafting table.Now I  have nothing I have to meet new people and I have to get new friends and weapons.I have to make a new portal so I can go home.

where should I go first?Mmm.maybe to the movies!.Nope I don't have any money,so I should go find a house and bed.I need to find another Minecraft friend.There are lots of people in this town,but I don't think there are lots of Minecraft people in this world because there are not many portals in the Minecraft world,but I saw one portal there.Ill call the person that made the portal.

It was my brother.Hay dumb head.I don't like him and he does not like me.WHAT!i made a portal  here  and someone broke it.AND!So I need to make another one.We want to help.GO AWAY!NO!We will all work together.NO YES!OK! First we find some obsidian second we have to find flint and steel.Then were done.

The volcano  has erupted

There are 2500 minerals in the world.Rocks are made from minerals.Sometimes rocks have gold in them.Igneous rocks are made when lava cools and hardens.Sedimentary  rocks are made sediment and sometimes fossils get stuck to it.Metamorphic rocks are made from heat and pressure inside the earth.Rocks smash to make mountains.Rocks have been on earth for a million years.Rock have been when the dinosaurs were.There are different tips of rocks in different parts on the world.Sometimes some rocks have 1 or 2 mineral in them. There's about 4500 billion rocks in the world.Coal sometimes have leave prints on them.Coal is really hard.Some rocks get created from other rocks.Rocks are different colours.Sandstone is made from sand.After many years mountains go down.Did you know diamond can cut diamond.

Some igneous rocks have tiny minerals in them and some don't have any.Greenstone sometimes gets caught in the volcanoes,Basalt normally comes out of the volcanoes.

Sedimentary rocks are made of tiny pieces of big rocks.Most Canyons are made of Sedimentary rocks.Limestone is a kind of Sedimentary rock.You can find fossils in some Sedimentary rocks.

Metamorphic Rocks

Metamorphic rocks are rocks that have changed their form because of the earths crust.Marble and Slate are two kinds of Metamorphic rocks.You would normally find Metamorphic rocks deep inside the earth.

The rock cycle goes like this Magma to Igneous to Sedimentary to Metamorphic and over and over again.

Coal can be formed into liquid, fuel and soap, Pitch is used to waterproof roofs.

Sedimentary rocks

Sedimentary rocks are made from tiny pieces of bones and rocks. They are stacked together like pancakes.

Metamorphic rocks are like a tube of toothpaste because the rocks are squeezed together.

These are some of the types of sedimentary rocks: breccia, sandstone, shale and limestone.

Rocks can be transformed into dust. Different minerals join together to make rocks.

Diamonds are the only minerals can cut glass.

So as you can see there are many types of rocks around the world, they are amazing properties.

Term Two Week One

We have had a busy start to Term Two. During the holidays all of our furniture and belongings were moved into our new classroom, which was very exciting.  Mrs McGhie has given each of us our own display space on the classroom wall so we were curious to find out about these and how they would work.

For the next three weeks we will be learning all about Geometry.  Mrs McGhie placed shapes around the room and we had to write down what we knew about them. We were doing lots of thinking.

We also started thinking about our new Inquiry topic - we're going to be learning all about Geology. To begin with we browsed through lot of the books on the topic to get our ideas and questions started off. 

After that we started brainstorming what we already knew about the topic.

Then we identified keywords to help us with our research.

Finally we wrote down all the questions we had and organised them into categories.  

It took us a few days to do all of this thinking and recording. We can't wait to start learning lots of new things.
